On April 30, the participants of the forum met with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey – Cemil Çiçek. The speaker emphasized that the Forum is very important for the PABSEC, as the later has as a goal the implication of the civil society into the strengthening of the regional cooperation. After the opening session whereby the participants were offered a summary of the previous meetings as well as the principles on which the Forum would work, the Black Sea Caspian Sea International Fund was awarded for participation to the event. The award, given as a token of the importance of our Fund for the Forum, was offered by Mr. Ismail Safi, Head of the Turkish delegation to PABSEC and Deputy Head of the Secretary General of the AKP.
