The International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development is shocked by the bloody tragedy, i.e. the monstrous attack on two mosques in the city of Christchurch (New Zealand), in
which 49 people died, and at least 20 were seriously injured.
The IFSPD strongly condemns this terrorist act, which is the most heinous form of terrorism. The International Foundation will continue with striving to promote the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in order to avoid such bloody acts of terror. The International Foundation calls for the creation of constructive mechanisms for the nonrepetition of such tragedies. All such acts are criminal, there is no excuse for them, and we hope that the tragedy of terrorism will be eradicated once and for all with our common and more concrete actions.
The IFSPD expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to thegovernment and people of New Zealand. The International Foundation shares the words of Mr. Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General. This incident reaffirms the urgent need for joint efforts to combat Islamophobia and to eliminate intolerance, as well as violent extremism in all its manifestations.
