On the 13th of December, 2011, the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea organized a reception on the occasion of the forthcoming winter holidays.
The event took place in Hilton Athenee Palace, hall ”Le Diplomate” and gathered together the representatives of social, public and political life of Romania, the members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Bucharest, academics, rectors of the most famous universities, representatives of the largest Romanian companies, civil society, NGOs. The event was also attended by ex-President of Romania H.E. Emil Constantinescu, Presidential Counselor on National Security Andrei Daniel Moldoveanu, Department of Strategic Affairs, Security and Foreign Policy Iulian Chifu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Dusko Kovacevic, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic of Moldova H.E. Iurie Renita, Charge d’Affaires of Republic of Belarus, Mr. Sergei Molunov and other distinguished persons.
During the ceremony, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the BSCSIF Vice-president Iulian Fota and the BSCSIF Secretary General Eldar Hasanov awarded Diplomas of Honor for the merits to the Fund. For supporting the initiative of creation and distinguished contribution to the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black and Caspian Seas were awarded to the President of Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of Romania H.E. Mr Traian Basescu, the President of Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, the BSCSIF President Viktor Khmarin, the BSCSIF Vice-president Iulian Fota and the BSCSIF Vice-president Akkan Suver. For contribution to the development of cooperation between nations and peoples of the Black sea – Caspian sea region the diplomas were awarded to the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Teodor Bachonschi, the Director of the Institute of Political Science, Defense and Military History, Mihai Ionescu, the founder of the Institute of Turkology and Central Asian Studies, Tasin Gemil. Also the diplomas of honor were given to the project team of the BSCSIF headquarters, editor –in –chief of the magazine “Dialogue of the Seas” V. Samoshkin, the BSCSIF lawyer Adrian Ibrahim, the President of the Academy of Science, Republic of Moldova, Gheorghe Duca and companies –members and partners of the Fund: UTI GRUP, SIVECO ROMANIA, UPETROM, OZTASAR, AZVIRT.
The event organized on the occasion of the coming winter holidays contributed to promoting of the image and expanding the sphere of influence of the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
