On June 7, 2013, Mr. Vahid Aliyev, Lieutenant-general, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaidjan, Ilham Aliyev, visited the International Fund for Cooperation andPartnership of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea (BSCSIF), during an official visit in Bucharest. Mr. Vahid Aliyev was accompanied by his deputies, Mr. Ramiz Tahirov and Mr. Elshad Babayev.The executive director of the BSCSIF, Ms. Alev Balgi, made a presentation of the objectives and the activities of the organization, which was created as a platform for dialogue and cooperation between the countries from the Black Sea and Caspian Sea regions.Mr. Vahid Aliyev stressed the high level of the bilateral relations between Azerbaidjan and Romania and the excellent results of the cooperation in the framework of the strategic partnership. He also appreciated the significant role of the BSCSIF in the region, as a bridge contributing to the enhancement of the cultural, economic, and social cooperation, as well as to the strengthening of the diplomatic relations between the countries.
