On the 13-15th of July, 2012, the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea (BSCSIF) organized a three days team-building session, in the Danube Delta, in Partizani, Tulcea County. During the event, which was held in the format of a summer school, the participants discussed the current situation in the international relations and the new role of Romania on the international stage. They also tried to define a new concept of the Romanian society – the intelligent Romania.
The event was organized with the support of the members of the International Relations Romanian Society, and was attended by the representatives of well-known organizations and institutions, such as the Institute for Political Studies of Defence and Military History, the European Institute of Romania and theLeague of Romanian Students Abroad.
We should also mention the presence to the event of two diplomats from theEmbassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, whose participation contributed to increasing the intercultural dimension and the cohesive factor between the Romanian and Azeri people.
The activities covered a large spectrum, including both discussion and debate sessions, and breaks and teamwork. The BSCSIF event was attended by the BSCSIF Vice-president, Mr. Iulian Fota, the main organiser and moderator of the debates, and by four members of the project team who focused discussions on the project ideas and networking with the participants. Given the positive feedback from the participants, similar activities are to be organized in the nearest future in some of the countries represented in the BSCSIF.
