Secretary General of the BSCSIF Branch in Istanbul, Mr. Tuğrul Veli, represented Turkey and our organization in the international meeting “The Contemporary World Multilateral Dialogue: The Changing World And China In Development”, which was held in Beijing in November 27-28, in cooperation with China Center for Contemporary World Studies and China Peace and Development Fund that are affiliated to Central Committee of Communist Party of China and are among the effect think-tank organizations in China.
Mr. Veli participated in the meeting with his paper named “The Renascent Silk Road Diplomacy in Eurasia and China in the 21st Century (The Geopolitical & Geo-economic Approaches)”. The thoughts concerning the importance of the Renascent Silk Road, which has significant historical background and a rich heritage, and how the contribution of this common value of the countries of the region and local community to the peace, stability and sustainable development in the region can be redefined in accordance with today’s Eurasian realities by the countries constituted the main line of the paper. In the strategy which is reformulated today, it was dwelled on the key role of China, the starting point of Silk Road and Turkey, the endpoint of Silk Road in Asia and mutual analyses concerning what both countries need to do were carried out.
Bilateral and multilateral talks were held with Communist Party of China, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, administrators of brain center, which carries out studies about foreign policy, NGO managers and academics.
