IFSPD and Podgorica Club signed a Partnership Agreement on Cooperation

On 22 July 2019 a Partnership Agreement on Cooperation between Podgorica Club and International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development (IFSPD) was signed in Podgorica. On behalf of the Podgorica Club the agreement was signed by the President of the organization, Mr. Filip Vujanovic (President of Montenegro in 2003-2018), and on behalf of the IFSPD it was signed by the Secretary General, Prof. Eldar Hasanov, Ph.D.

“Podgorica Club” was founded in Montenegro in February 2019. The members of the Club are former heads of state and government of Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

The main objectives of this initiative are the integration of the Western Balkans, strengthening regional dialogue between political leaders, the academic community, cultural figures, the non-governmental sector, the development of good-neighbourly relations, protection of human rights, minority rights and the rule of law in accordance with the highest European and international standards.

The Club actively supports the development of good-neighbourly relations, regional cooperation and the approval of the region in the international community.

The Podgorica Club and the International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development will consider ways to strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects.
