On November, 1-4, 2010, Diana Ioana Călin, the member of the BSCSIF project team, participated in the third round of “Leadership Talks”. It was an inspiring event, organized by AIESEC – Bucharest, and the main goal was motivating young people who want to become leaders in a certain sphere.
The young participants had a possibility to interact with important personalities from different fields, like: culture (Alexandru Arșinel, Ion Caramitru, Alexandru Tomescu), science (Dumitru Dorin Prunariu, Raluca- Ioana & Jacobus Frederick van Staden), business (Irina Schrotter, Călin Fusu, Rucsandra Hurezeanu), social responsibility (Răzvan Crișan, Dragoș Bucureci, Sandra Pralong, Leslie Hawke), media (Andreea Esca, Luminița Oprea, Cristian Tudor Popescu), and sport (Alex Gavan). he guests of the event, leaders in those spheres, shared their stories of success with youth, and their own vision about what the leadership is. Each guest in his speech, tried to motivate young people, to guide them to gaining self-confidence and to turn their thoughts and ideas into reality for a better world.
After 3 days, devoted to sharing life stories with distinguished leaders, the last day of the event consisted of training, regarding soft skills introduced by Achieve Global.
The BSCSIF believes that this event was a vivid practical example of young people motivation and encouragement to follow their dreams. Also it was an example of long-term collaboration between the educational, business and non-governmental fields.
