“Role of Poland and Romania in the implementation of conclusions of the 2nd Eastern Partnership Summit in Warsaw”, 28th of November, 2011

On the 28th of November, 2011, the seminar titled “Role of Poland and Romania in the implementation of conclusions of the 2nd Eastern Partnership Summit in Warsaw” was held in Bucharest.

The Seminar was organized by the Embassy of Republic of Poland in Romania in cooperation with the Romanian Centre for European Policies. The seminar was attended by H.E. Mr Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Romania, Marek SZCZYGIEL, the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, the Director of the Eastern Department, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Artur Michalski and other officials.

The International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea was represented on the seminar by Felicia Scoarta, the Advisor to Secretary general and Mihai Sandu, the coordinator of the project team. Within the seminar very actual and important topics have been discussed: the role of Eastern Partnership and civil society in the development of relations between the EU countries and 6 countries of the Eastern Partnership and the popularization of the idea of Eastern Partnership. Due to the established relations with many EaP countries, Romania could play a bridging role between the countries of Western and Eastern Europe
