International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development (IFSPD) has been anxiously following the incoming news of violence and ethnic cleansing against the Rohingya from Myanmar since August 2017.
An abiding disregard of the Rohingya crisis can lead to the point of destabilization of the regional security in this part of the world.
IFSPD supports the appeal of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres, to grant citizenship or temporary legal status to Muslims in the state of Rakhine, including free-movement, having access to the employment market, education and health services, so that these people can live normally.
At the same time, IFSPD appeals to the international community as well as international humanitarian organizations to provide feasible humanitarian assistance and take effective measures to stop the violence against over a hundred thousand of Rohingya, who due to these violent events were forced to leave their homes and move to the territory of Bangladesh.
