Training Course on writing projects within YiA framework

BSCSIF in partnership with Romanian National Agency for Youth in Action Program organized, between 22nd and 25th of July 2010, a Training Course on writing projects within YiA framework for representatives of over 15 organizations. The training, which took place at BSCSIF headquarters, provided the participants with knowledge and skills to write and manage Youth in Action projects, better understanding of European and national priorities regarding youth active involvement, as well as the key issues in receiving EC funding.

The event has offered the 25 representatives of more than 15 organizations the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge about the EC YiA program, to learn to become efficiently active and share experience with their fellows, to understand European funding mechanisms, as well as to learn about financial resources allocated to Romania for this specific program. During the training course, the participants have gained the necessary background and support, and have started to write YiA projects.

The event’s importance is enhanced by the 2010 European priority, which is fighting against poverty and social exclusion. One of the key objectives of BSCSIF is to support European Union and European Commission’s efforts in promoting tolerance, consolidating intercultural dialogue, capacity building and strengthening cooperation between civil society and decision makers. Therefore, supporting Youth in Action Program in Romania and in EU neighbouring countries comes as a step forward towards achieving common goals such as: participative democracy, active citizenship, solidarity, partnership and cooperation.

Just as EC Youth in Action program does, BSCSIF intends to contribute, in the spirit of equality and mutual respect, to the development of partnerships and collaboration between the peoples of the region in such fields as education, culture, environmental protection, democratization, justice and human rights, and reducing poverty, in order to assure a sustainable development of the countries in the area.
